Kabana is easily the most prestigious jewelry maker in the world working in inlay jewelry. The complicated inlay process involves several steps: goldsmiths meticulously cast and finish each piece of gold jewelry, stone experts select gemstones and Mother-of-Pearl and match them for color, stone cutters cut, shape, and polish each stone by hand, and setters fit each stone snugly into the setting. After many additional stages of polishing and finishing, the jewelry piece is stamped with the Kabana hallmark.
The most familiar pieces in the collections are set with various colors of Mother-of-Pearl: white, pink bronze, and yellow, or with brightly colored red, orange and purple inlays from the Spiny Oyster.
