The complicated inlay process involves several steps: goldsmiths meticulously cast and finish each piece of gold jewelry, stone experts select gemstones and Mother-of-Pearl and match them for color, stone cutters cut, shape, and polish each stone by hand, and setters fit each stone snugly into the setting.
